Who I Am

I’m a writer and editor, born and raised in Houston, Texas, with sojourns in Paris, France.

I relocated to New York City in March 2026 after seven years cutting my teeth in Austin.

You can find my work on Substack and at the Alcalde.When I’m not writing, I’m reading.

What I Do

In January, I left my role as the events & marketing manager at First Light Books, a new independent bookstore and community hub in Austin’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

I'm open to work in NYC in media, communications, magazine journalism, creative strategy, project management, arts administration, bookstores, and more.

What I Know

I’m earning a Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction through New York University’s low-residency Writers’ Workshop in Paris.

I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors.
